Overall Opinion
I love this thing tho I wish I could use it as an audio interface its not a bad mixer at all. Then again its Behringer so maybe its best they stick to midi lol

Price paid: $200 USD

Its very easy to use in a session but I still havent figured out how to save presets and installing the drivers took some time because i had to find them on the behringer website because they do not come with it I didnt like that

It seems pretty strong so far but im still very careful with it

I love it Im looking into getting the BCR 2000 now which is the version of this but with only rotary knobs

Behringer BCA2000

Characteristics
Good extras, the noise gate has been espeicially useful. ADAT connectors work well. The main weakness is that it outputs a stereo mix of the inputs so if you've got more than one stereo source going in you can't record them seperately. You can get passed this by hooking something up to the ADAT in.

Price paid: £150
Getting Started
Compared to the Pro Control 24 about as easy as opening your eyes.
Utilisation
Sound quiality is good for the price, balanced cables are must for connecting your monitors as allways. Behringer IMP's (yeah I had to look it up to, apparently stands for Invisible Mike Pre-amp)are acctually very impressive. I used a Rhode NT1a through them and got very uncoloured tone.
Overall Opinion
It is well built but wouldn't withstand constant abuse. I thought mine was faulty because the back panel was live but apparently it earths throught the USB cable, weird.

I love this thing because it works. It does exactly what it does on the tin for a killer price. Theirs a lot to be said for that.

Behringer U-Control UMX49

Characteristics
I got this controller because I wanted a second MIDI input device that would have a few other bells and whistles. You can connect with USB since it has a built in interface. You can also go the traditional way and just connect it with MIDI cables. It has input for a foot switch, power switch on back as well as plug for an AC adapter, and it also can be battery operated if you want to use this live which is a handy feature.
Utilisation
The action on this keyboard is not really great. It is very, very bouncy, and so it is very hard to get a good capture of different velocities. You really kind of have to learn its velocity curve and play to the keyboard instead of playing to the material, which is a pain. Setup of this controller is very easy though - you just load up the driver and plug it in with USB or MIDI. Mine worked straight away on windows XP and Cubase. The manual is not very in depth, but it is sufficient to get you started well enough.
Overall Opinion
I have been using this for about a year now. My favorite thing about this keyboard is the low price - it is hard to beat this in terms of value. The mod and pitch wheels work very well, and the assignable pots and output fader are really nice to have. It's only 49 keys, but you can easily change which octaves of a normal 88 key piano are represented with buttons on the front panel. The ease of connectivity is also a big plus with this controller. On the downside, the action is very poor and not realistic at all. You will need to take some time to get used to the velocity curve before you get any dynamically sensible results from playing this keyboard. If you just need a basic MIDI input device with a few extra bells and whistles at a very low price, this will definitely suit you. I would probably buy it again considering it's just a backup for me, but I wouldn't want to use it as a primary MIDI keyboard.

Overall Opinion
I have been using this product for about 4 months. I had my eyes on the Mackie digital controllers, but the price of those was prohibitive. I soon discovered that audio on the cheap company Behringer had a product in the same vein. I have been quite happy with this since getting it. It is very easy to install, simply connect with MIDI, set your program to recognize it, and it works very well. The manual is unfortunately not that detailed, but you can find help online if you need it. You can connect more than one of these if you want more channels. It gives you 8 faders that are motorized, and with most programs you can write the fader automation on to your song. Then when it plays back, the faders will automatically move. You can switch which tracks are controlled by which faders as well, so you are not limited in that way. There is also a pan pot for every fader, so you can assign that to control panning or other things in your DAW as well. There is a limited amount of visual feedback in terms of display on this controller, but that is part of what you lose with the hugely lower cost of this when compared to the Mackie or Tascam controllers. In terms of sensitivity, it has worked totally fine. The feel of the faders feels no different from the Mackie one, which a friend has. There are also other handy functions. You can mute and solo the tracks that are selected for the faders. You can start and stop playback with it as well. One thing I don't like is that since it's cheaper components, it's a bit less durable. One of the caps on my faders has already come loose, and while some superglue fixed it that should tell you something about the craftsmanship. For the price, you absolutely can't get a product like this cheaper, so it's a great value. I am overall happy with it, so I would get it again.
